RB25 conversion Stage 19 - Fitting the throttle body and throttle cable
The ISIS inlet manifold I bought is setup to run a Q45 throttle body as standard. I contacted Ricky at Raw Brokerage again and ordered myself a Greddy throttle body adaptor to accept the standard throttle body. Unfortunately this places the throttle body well out of reach of the standard R32 throttle cable. Fortunately an S14 throttle cable is a direct fit and is just the right length to work.
To fit the throttle cable, just undo the two bolts in the footwell and pull the cable through. easy! I used the RB20 throttle cable holder from my old plenum and fabricated a small bracket to position it in the right place.
Here's some pics of everything installed...
With everything in place I could mock up the pipe to go from the throttle body to the intercooler. This is currently being welded together, with the dump valve flange and a pipe for the iaa valve on it. I cut the routing hole and ran some hose round the edges to protect the pipe...
