RB25 conversion Stage 11 - Fitting the cam belt JDMLegion.com projects RSS feed

To fit the cam belt you need to line up the timing marks on the bottom crank pulley and the 2 cam wheels. The cams and crank are already at roughly the correct position if you install them as per the Nissan manual. Here's the 3 gears lined up to their timing marks...

Push the cam belt on keeping it taught on the right-hand side (exhaust side). Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt and check the tensioner spring is correctly located to make the tensioner sprung. Rotate the tensioner to one side using an allen key, then let the tension in the spring pull the slack out of the cambelt. Tighten the tensioner bolt up.

All done :o)
